WASHINGTON, April 15.--The Superintendent of the Recruiting Service has been ordered to send 40 recruits to the Twenty-second Infantry in the Department of the Missouri, 40 to the Third Infantry at Fort Snelling, Minn., and 100 to the Seventh Cavalry at the same point.

WASHINGTON, April 14.--The resignation of Capt. John J. Kane, Assistant Surgeon, has been accepted, to take effect April 13. First Lient. F.E. Phelps, Eighth Cavalry, has been detached as inspector on certain recruiting property at Lexington, Ky. Ordnance Sergeant John Barr has been placed on the retired list.
